Okay okay, after “her darkest hour” I just had to know how the story continued so I picked up the next book called “The lies we bury” and again, it did not disappoint!

Can we stand still by the fact that Dan publishes a lot of books per year and all of the books also are thrilling and amazingly written.

With Deputy Director Carter officially as an enemy Bell and Gardy are on borrowed time. It isn’t until Logan has been spotted near a murder that the FBI issue a new nation-wide manhunt for him. With that, he’s given Carter leverage because now Carter can come for Gardy and Bell.

Dr. Klein has mentored Scarlett when she started as a profiler, learned her how to compartmentalize and keep her marbles. Dr. Klein is retired but has been known in taking the odd job for the bureau. When a letter from Carter arrives, she can’t say no. A new profile on the laughing man, because Carter thinks Bell is holding back. But Dr. Klein doesn’t think so, that’s why, as a side job she also looks into Carter. But, working against the laughing man… It can get you Killed.

Gardy and Bell need to split, they need to go to ground ASAP because they will soon be wanted agents for aiding and a bedding a killer. Even if this killer is a vigilante killer and only kills killers (jeez, isn’t that a tongue twister)

They go with wolf, to a location unknown to anyone but it doesn’t take long for a black SUV to circle the block… Location compromised.

The secret Carter carries… Why would the laughing man target his family and not the man himself? How can a man have such a succession rate, climbs the FBI ladder that quickly but also leaves a trail of death and accidents? But, keeps his own hands clean. That secret, it isn’t one that can be readily believed but you better believe it.

You would NOT believe this ending. It did it justice. The Laughing man chapter, closed.

So, who died? Who lived? Who got arrested? Find out!

Again, ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!!!! Stars.
