My first ever book I’ve read by Noelle W. Ihli is this one, such Quiet girls… I do have 4 other books of this writer on my physical TBR, but let’s be honest. New releases are picked up much quicker.

Friends come and go, but sisters are for life “.

Life is a struggle, and a good spy goes in there and fights “.

I am pleasantly surprised by this book, which was inspired by actual events which made the story that much more eerie. A school bus filled with kids that are underway to after school care is taken in broad daylight, that’s 10 kids and a driver gone missing into thin air.

A few hours in the police does find the phones belonging to the ones that are taken and hours after that the bus has been found. But no sign of the kids or the driver. How though? Let’s rewind a bit.

There is a rule while entering the school bus that takes you to after school care; Which is no mobile phones! They are safely stored when entering the bus, even the bus driver has to store her phone. This because it’s a no phone zone where they would like to see kids interact with each other more.

Driving the usual route to after care there seems to be problem, some detour due to road work? But there doesn’t seem anything wrong… After weighing down her option Jessa chooses to ignore the sign and drive ahead in a slow pace, that’s when they get caged in by a van.

There’s no way back now. Before they know it there’s a “knock knock knock” sound, there’s someone at the door with a panty hose over his head tapping the glass with a gun?! The shock is real and Jessa doesn’t really know what to do, is there enough time to get to her phone? No, she could get shot after taking just one step. The man gets agitated when it’s taking to long and yells at Jessa to open the door of the bus or else!

When the door of the bus is opened there really is no going back, but not doing anything will get them killed… Just do what the men tell you to do, so no one gets hurt. They get taken away in a blacked-out van to a place where no one will ever find them because they are buried alive. Jessa can’t seem to find any strength to find a way out of this or to calm the kids down.

But there is one kid; Sage that seems to be resilient enough to calm the kids down a bit and when buried is the one that keeps coming up with new ideas. Can she menage though? Can she actually save the kids and Jessa from a fate worse than anything imaginable? Find out for yourself! Such Quiet Girls has been released and available to order on amazon or your local bookstore.

I’m giving this book ⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars!

It was so well put together; the characters were very well written. I was so captivated by the story I just couldn’t put it down.
