And another book can be removed from my TBR but I did buy six new books, lol. Spinderella picked Geneva by Richard Armitage; I picked this book up after seeing some good reviews on Bookstagram. I really liked the synopsis of this book and I will tell you all about it in a minute.

Richard Armitage is a known actor for his roles in a handful of mini series by Harlan Coben, he’s also a known narrator for audiobooks if I’m not mistaken. I was a bit harsh on my review on his latest release ‘The Cut’ which I had the opportunity to ARC read saying he should probably just stick to acting, but Geneva was rather good.

Nobel prize winning scientist Sarah Collier is experiencing some symptoms consistent with Alzheimer’s; which is a scientist’s worst nightmare. Losing something that is most precious; the brain. Sarah’s husband Daniel who helps her through her episodes steps in to get the tests that need to be done to determine if it’s actually Alzheimer’s.

Sarah has stopped working to be with her family more, her father is in a home for people with dementia and doesn’t recognize her anymore. She also has a daughter whom she loves very much, called Maddie. Which is why she wants to make the most of the time she has left, but when an invitation arrives for her to attend a new scientific product that helps the brain regain function over the things that stopped working; she hesitates. Daniel keeps telling her to go together, it being an opportunity for them to see what this Neurocell product is about.

With Sarah being a big name in the scientific industry, her name near the Neurocell will skyrocket sales, but will also help investors that are still hesitant to put their money in. When she decides to go her episodes get a lot worse, how can it progress this fast? What’s going on?

Helen, PR for Schiller’s institute has railed Sarah in, which means success but Mauritz Schiller still isn’t overly convinced the deal is done yet. His head of security Pavel has been assigned to stay on Sarah Collier, make sure she’s safe. Helen keeps reassigning Pavel so Sarah is alone some of the times, so she can do what she must without him in the way.

Sarah is convinced something isn’t right, if she really has Alzheimer’s fine, but there is something going on that she can’t put her finger on. She soon realizes that she can’t even trust her own judgment on things, but can’t trust those closest to her either. When the story unfolds, it’s one so unbelievable but also so beautifully written. So fast paced and so intriguing, it’s really worth the read.

I’m giving it ⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars.
