The Holiday – T.M. Logan
After reading ‘The Mother’ by T.M. Logan I wanted to read more by this author and ordered a couple more books. Spinderella chose ‘The Holiday’ and I had really high hopes for this book. I mean, three families; 7 days and one killer? Thrilling! But my hopes came crashing down when 75% in nothing had really happened yet… Apart from adultery and some minor incidents.
Mondays are Murder – Ravena Guron
After her aunt dies her parents decide they can’t stay in their hometown and relocate to London. For their 20th anniversary her parents decide to go on a cruise and Kay can’t come. So after not being there for a year Kay has to return to her hometown to stay with her uncle and niece. That first message left on her bed at uncle Dara’s house is the beginning of the end. Who can do such a thing?!

The Burning Girls – C.J. Tudor
The burning girls by C.J. Tudor is initially labeled as a horror book but I have to say that I don’t really agree with it. It’s a medium paced thriller but it will keep your interest from the first page to the last. The fact that it has a church / beliefs setting makes it all the more captivating.

Dear Child by Romy Hausmann
This is a psychological thriller on a whole new level. A young woman has been abducted and has been living in captivity with a man calling himself her husband. Living in a cabin in the woods they start a family because that’s what he wants. 14 years after the abduction Lena has been found, but is it the real Lena to begin with?
The other Mrs. by Mary Kubica
After Sadie and her family move house to watch over their niece Imogen a woman in the same street has been murdered. The police are trying to figure out what’s happened as does Sadie because the rumor-mill has suggested that Will and the woman were seeing each other. Trying to unearth what’s happened Sadie comes to the conclusion that the murderer lives under her roof. Is it her son Otto? Who had an incident at his previous school with a knife or maybe Imogen? That girl has been so angry with everyone. She can’t imagine her husband Will doing it… When everything unravels, she can’t believe it. She just can’t.

Hush Hush by James Patterson
It’s the last one already. I could’ve read more about Harriet’s adventures if there would be any. It’s is open ended so; we might be in for a treat someday. Also, a good writing idea would be a standalone about / with Tox. His character is so criminal to be a detective but he is very good at his job. In the beginning of this book Harriet is in jail, pending her trail. Reading about what happened in prison, my god… but knowing it happens in real live as well.
