The last book in the vacation saga was “all his pretty girls” by Charly Cox, #spinderella picked “the Toybox” but that is the second one in the series so, I had to switch.

This was the first book in the Alyssa Wyatt series which has six books total. The sixth one is yet to he released so the series might grow even bigger yet.

I was in a bit of a slump so the pace I’ve read this book in was a bit slower then usual.

Alyssa Wyatt is a detective in Albuquerque New Mexico where she has a good team working tirelessly on missing persons cases, the newest case is the disappearance of Callie McCormick. There are signs of a struggle at her house but no one has seen anything which makes this case a whole lot harder.

When a woman is found an inch from death in a rain pit with leaves covering her naked and bruised body. It doesn’t take long for them to formally identify her as Callie, the missing woman, other then a little bit of DNA underneath her nails nothing else is found. So who is this perpetrator? With no leads other then a bit of dna which takes days to analyse and a woman knocking on deaths door they are none the wiser.

A new fixation is set, his next prey located. She’s the one, the OG and now he finally knows where she lives. Going into her house has the adrenaline flowing and at an all time high when the kid and mom are in the house not knowing he’s also in there.

Once he has her and kills her, he can stop hunting. She’s the one to blame for it all, for every bit of horror he’s been through. She. Did. It.

About halfway through I was wondering about the plot twist and if I had figured it out already and well I guess I did but still, that twist was insane! It was a very good one.

I’m giving this book ⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars
