While the book club reads, I entered are done, my TBR is ever growing. Giving good old Spinderella a spin; she decided on “She’s not Sorry” by Mary Kubica. A highly anticipated read, I’m happy with the choice.
Whilst I don’t like all books by Mary, I do want to read them all. You never know which one of her books will scratch your ever-growing thriller itch. So, at least give them a try. A book might not have hit the mark for me, it could be a different experience for you. Okay, here we go.

Meghan is a single mum working full time as a critical care nurse in the ICU. One day a patient of a suspected suicide has been brought in with traumatic brain injury and in a coma. The parents of the patient, the Becketts get rather attached to Meghan and request her to be Caitlyn’s nurse whenever she’s working.
After work Meghan sometimes attends a Divorce support group, where someone from high school spots her. ‘Meghan? Is that you? It’s me! Nat!’ Meghan wanted her live to be as simple as it was while attending high school. Of course, it’s Nat! They can talk to each-other so easily; their friendship picking up where it was left of when they got to college.
With a lunatic on the loose in Chicago. Meghan is rather antsy about going out after dark since this man follows his victims to their homes and rapes them there. Some of the times her demeanor is bold and other times it’s scared which doesn’t really stroke with the storyline in my opinion, but in the end, I get it.
There seems to be someone who has witnessed the fall from afar, saying Caitlyn didn’t jump but was pushed of the bridge. With the police trying to find out what happened to her; live in the ICU goes on, no changes to report until one day, she opens her eyes, just for a couple of seconds…
Walking around with a big secret to carry can be hard, how far will someone go to keep that secret buried?
While the storyline was a bit strange in my opinion, I did like this book. It was an easy read and okay paced.
I’m giving it a ⭐⭐⭐.5 stars!
