And that was it, the final book from the Harriet Blue series; finished. I very much like Harriet and would’ve loved more books, the ending is open so, who knows right?

So, that last book called Hush Hush was once again a very good book. Not as page turning as the previous one but still, loved it. I love the characters in this book.. Harriet being foul mouthed and Tox bordering on being criminal.. Whitt absolutely uptight and loveable pops.

Woods made good on his words, Harriet is in prison at the beginning of this book, but hasn’t had any contact with woods, he hasn’t done any gloating which she would’ve expected. Being an ex-cop, Harriet is a much hated woman in gen-pop. It isn’t all to surprising when a fight breaks out to injure Harriet.

After some time passes, Harriet has a visitor. None other than Woods, but the man before her seems broken. He wants to offer a deal.. Find his missing daughter and grandchild and all charges will be dropped, if Harriet agrees she could be out within a day! But she doesn’t want to give him the time of day, not until a murder takes place in prison and her celmate is the one they suspect. She will take the deal, but will solve the prison murder on the side, she has to.

With pops being retired, he took on dog fostering and has 3 tiny fluff balls waiting when he and Harriet arrive at his house. Harriet being skin and bones after her time incarcerated likes how healthy pops looks, the last time she saw him was in the hospital bed after having an operation on his ticker. Whitt has gained a lot, in muscle and Tox looks healthy as well. Her little task force to find out what happened to Tonya and Rebel Woods but also, who killed the doctor.

From hired assesins to biker gangs, they question the lot.. Of the books; so, they can be rougher then police protocol indicates. So, what happened? Are Tonya and Rebel still alive?

It’s a ⭐⭐⭐⭐.5 read from me.
