My Ex-Husband’s Ex-husband by Rachel Cohn and Melissa de la Cruz is set to be released on the 18^th of November of 2025.

I had the absolute pleasure to ARC read this through Netgalley. The Genre is General adult fiction which seems accurate. Not normally a genre I pick to read but I’m glad I did.

It was a rather short story, with only 170 pages on my tablet: So, it’s a quick read.

Audrey and Ian used to be best friends when in college, they did a student abroad program where they had the opportunity to study in Vienna for a year. There’s where they met Beau, also an American from that same program. They hit it off right away, that’s when the duo became a trio and they hung out almost all the time.

Beau is Gender fluid which means he doesn’t label himself but also likes both male and female, which makes it difficult because both Audrey and Ian are head over heals for this southern gentleman. After a year in Vienna, they return to the colleges they attended before the exchange. Audrey and Ian go to the same one and Beau is at NYU. It isn’t long after they get back when Audrey drops a bombshell. ‘Ian, I’m pregnant!’. Beau drops out of college and asks Audrey to get marries. They later on get another daughter but the marriage doesn’t last.

Fast Forward.

Audrey’s oldest daughter Izzy is twenty-three years old and about to get married in Vienna. Seeing Ian after years of hating on him for marrying Beau after she got divorced. Making Ian a big part in her daughters live. Naturally he’s there for the wedding but Beau is AWOL. Not answering his phone, his apartment empty. Where is he?! Ian and Audrey’s quest is to find him and drag him to their daughter’s wedding. Surely, he wouldn’t want to miss it.

This quest to find Beau is filled with adventures, reliving memories they’ve made in Vienna when they were teenagers. But also, how good their friendship was when love ruined everything.

Will they find Beau? And what’s his excuse for falling of the face of the earth?
